With baby number two only a few months away, we wanted to do something a little special for its gender reveal amongst our loved ones. It also gave me the perfect excuse to throw a little party on a quiet January Saturday. I could not have found a more perfect location than my very own parents’ house. Guests gathered around the open kitchen filled with a sweet bar, which included a collection of delicious donuts, cupcakes, lemon bars. In addition, a custom-made celebration cake with a sweet surprise of the baby’s gender color icing filled in the middle that would be shared after the reveal. To wash down the yummy desserts guests had a choice of milk, coffee, or lemonade lined up along side timeless mason jars.
To add a little fun to the party, guests were asked to guess the baby’s gender upon arrival by choosing either fresh baby breath flower crowns and bows for a girl, or blue mustaches for a boy. In addition to having an amazing photographer, guests were free to capture the silly and quirky moments through their own lens with a Polaroid camera. After sharing many laughs and way too many desserts, the party gathered outside with poppers in hand. The poppers were discretely filled with the correct gender colored confetti. On the count of three, we all pushed the poppers open and the air was instantly full of pink, purple, and orange for our little girl!
It was a day to remember. Thank you to all of you that were apart of our celebration. We are so lucky and grateful to welcome the newest addition to our little family, our son’s little sister, and our forever little princess.
